《Resident Evil 9: Requiem》 Sanitarium Basement Exploration: Obtaining the First Joint Plug

Following Leon's exploration of the main building, Rose will head directly into the Sanitarium Basement. Upon arriving, don't rush forward. Take a moment to survey your surroundings first—there aren't many paths available initially. Along the way, you'll encounter several doors that require power to open, as well as slots for the Joint Plugs.

Following the main path, you'll see an open, well-lit security office. This is the Guard Room, and your main base of operations for this stage of the basement exploration.

Continue exploring the basement. The only accessible area right now is the Cell Block. Entering this area will trigger a short cutscene. After the cutscene ends, you'll obtain the first Joint Plug.

Note that to open the cells and rescue Emily, you must collect all three Joint Plugs and bring them back here.

As an FBI rookie, Rose must prioritize stealth and survival. It's recommended to avoid combat whenever possible to conserve limited ammunition.
