《Resident Evil 9: Requiem》 Third Joint Plug Walkthrough: Collection Pool → Processing Room → Examination Room

The Collection Pool is located below the cell block. To enter, you must use the Square Socket Wrench obtained earlier to open a panel.

This area requires two Joint Plugs to unlock. You should already have the one from the cell block and the second found near the forklift in the crematorium, so you meet the requirement. Insert both Joint Plugs into the sockets at the Collection Pool. The room lights will turn on, and the door at the far end will open.

Next, crawl through the ventilation duct to reach the Processing Room, where you will find the Forklift Key on the floor.

Use the Forklift Key to start the nearby forklift. This will open the main room, which contains a map and operation instructions. It is recommended to check the map first to plan your route.

**Important:** If you remove the Joint Plugs from the Processing Room, the door behind you will close, so you cannot remove them yet. However, with the Forklift Key, you can access the Examination Room from the crematorium side, reaching the Processing Room from the other direction.

Before leaving, remember to remove both Joint Plugs from the Collection Pool sockets and take the Forklift Key. This will allow you to open the crematorium door and move the blocking forklift to proceed.

You must be extremely careful here. You will need to sneak past the "Girl" to proceed. As a core mechanic for Claire, use environmental cover to avoid detection while sneaking.

Upon entering the Examination Room, you will find many hanging body bags. Move along the gaps between them, occasionally adjusting their direction to proceed.

Wait for large gaps to appear in the rows of body bags before moving, as hanging zombies can suddenly grab you. Carefully navigate to the other side of the Processing Room, turn the valve to drain the pool water, and climb down into the pool after preparing for combat.

It is recommended to first shoot zombies in the knees to knock them down, then attack the rotating blades to eliminate them efficiently while saving ammo. If you have extra ammo, use Hemostatic Injectors to permanently dispose of bodies and prevent them from transforming into "Waterhead" enhanced zombies.

After surviving the challenges in the Processing Room, climb to the other side of the pool to obtain the **third Joint Plug**. You will then need to escape through the ventilation ducts, meaning you must go back to collect the two previous Joint Plugs. Before leaving the Collection Pool room, press the "Collect and Test" switch at the bottom to obtain extra Infected Blood, which can be used by Claire to craft Hemostatic Injectors for assassinating enemies or stopping mutations.

Now, simply return to the forklift room to retrieve the previous Joint Plug, then go to the crematorium to take the other one. You will finally have collected all three Joint Plugs. **Important Reminder:** Once you insert all three Joint Plugs into the cell block socket, you can never return to the basement. Therefore, be sure to fully explore the basement and collect all necessary supplies before proceeding.

After inserting the plugs to rescue Emily, pick her up and rush to the elevator near the basement entrance. Immediately shoot the "Girl" once inside the elevator while quickly trying to open the door to escape successfully.
